As the word implies, the neural network derives it is origin from the human brain or the human nervous system which consists of a parallel inter connections of neurons that performs different tasks in a small amount of a time. Artificial neural networks are the imitations of the biological nervous system. The behavior of the biological neural network that can be captured by a simple model called artificial neurons.

Are neural networks future of Artificial Intelligence?

Neural networks have been used in a varied set of domains such as healthcare, speech recognition, marketing, and face recognition. I think like a wide variety of techniques, neural networks are surely part of the future of Artificial Intelligence. The recent glory of deep learning has made these sorts of network very popular. I believe that deep learning neural network will play very important role in the future of AI. Artificial neural network are strong system and fault tolerant. The ANN can process information in parallel and in high speed.  They can identify new objects previous untrained. They can map input patterns to their associated output pattern. Such a processing system made up of interconnected artificial neural computing elements having ability to learn and acquire knowledge is possible. I strongly believe, Neural networks proves the need of its architecture is the future with the great abstraction learning ability as compare to its counterpart.
